OPERATIONAL MEASURE FOR SMALL BUSINESS AMNESTY DEADLINE

In view of the deadline of 30 June 2007 for applications for the Small Business Tax Amnesty, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) can announce the following:

• As from today, Thursday 28 June 2007, and for tomorrow, Friday 29 June 2007, the hours of operation at SARS branch offices will be extended until 6 pm;
• SARS branch offices will be open ONLY to receive amnesty applications on Saturday 30 June 2007.

SARS must reiterate that Saturday, 30 June 2007 is the deadline for amnesty applications and that no further extensions will be granted.
