SARS looked at ways of streamlining our service to make payment of taxes easier for our clients. In the interest of public safety, SARS have teamed up with FNB to offer a tax payment service that provides greater security and convenience.
Now, instead of posting payments or depositing them at a SARS office, clients have the choice of making tax payments at any branch of FNB. With SARS and FNB branches all over the country, we are able to offer easy access to all taxpayers. This new service should mean that paying tax is safer, more secure and a lot easier.
With effect from 15 June 1998, clients can pay VAT, Employees Tax, Income Tax, Secondary Tax on Companies, Provisional Tax, and Tax on Retirement Funds at the FNB branch which is most convenient to them.
Explanatory Brochures will be available from all Receivers of Revenue as well as on the Official SARS Internet Web Site at www.sars.gov.za. The information in these brochures forms a vital guideline to utilise this payment facility.
