Chairperson of the Audit Committee and deputy Chairperson of the SARS Advisory Board confirms that the said committee and board are totally informed of the issues raised by the Auditor General in respect of administered revenue and own accounts.
"We are satisfied that the Commissioner and his staff have initiated a number of changes and will continue to do so in terms of an agreed programme of action. The Audit Committee will continually monitor the progress made in eliminating historic deficiencies in the SARS systems"
